First, you must not be afraid to “look” like a failure when you don’t become an overnight success. It is essential that you understand that fear of looking like a failure to those you know and respect is the number 1 cause of failure in network marketing.  Most new networkers quit the business before they have made it through their first year.

Give yourself time to learn the products, the system, and the art of growing your business. It will take time and the amount of money you make in those early months is not a factor you should look at. Most regular businesses don’t make ANY profit for the first year, some longer. Stay the course and you will be in good shape. If you neglect this advice, you may be facing the most common result of the masses in network marketing… quitting before you should have.

Second, you will need to go up the ladder of your upline until you find a well seasoned pro with a proven duplicatable “system” for recruiting and building a team. This is will be crucial in determining whether you succeed or fail. It is crucial for these reasons: Without a leader, you simply won’t have the proper training. Most people need to follow until they can lead. It’s almost impossible to start out as a leader.  Failing to do this is likely to mean you won’t even attempt to sell your products much less recruit anyone into your team. You won’t feel you can train them or even answer questions about the product or growing their own team. And you eventually fail at network marketing.

You see these failed people on discussion boards making comments about how MLM are scams or only the top people make all the money. This is what happens when people invest money in something where there is no support or help in building their business. They might have even thought they could become rich over night, only to find it didn’t work out that way. So trying to keep others from going through that experience is a way to walk off their frustrations.

Third, you have to remember to build relationships in this business. Without building relationships with your customers and future team members, you just can’t go very far. Trust and respect are two factors that must be developed in this relationship. Many people will want to wait for a while before joining you in order to see if you last or if you are really serious about your business. Being in the same business 3 or 4 months later when you run into them again will speak volumes more than anything you could ever say to them in that first encounter. Continue to learn new ways to find people and build relationships. Email is one of the strongest ways of doing this. It prevents you from having to look bad in their eyes by calling them every month. Make your offer in person one time and then afterwards email them with “content” until you decide the time is right for them.  Remember, you are leading others into the business, so be a leader first and the sales will take care of itself. Look for good leader material in people as you build your business.

Follow these three techniques for building your network marketing business and you’ll most likely succeed and enjoy all the rewards and benefits that network marketing can bring you.

Let’s look at an example: Keep in mind that the headline needs to have at least one word that makes that headline be acceptable in that subject. If you are advertising in the Job/Sales area, the word “marketing, marketer, sales, salesperson etc”, needs to be in the headline.

So we could say something like: Only the Best Salesperson will survive… (Dallas)
